  • Sale of owner managed business
  • Recruitment software
  • Sourced an Australian buyer, negotiated the deal with their US private equity backers and executed the deal through the worst of the pandemic
No results found.

Adrian and Janine were the advisors to eArcu and its shareholders on the sale of the business to Page Up, an Australian business owned by a US investment firm, Battery Ventures. The owners of eArcu, led by Andy Randall, the CEO who founded this recruitment software business some ten years ago after successfully selling their previous company iGrasp, some six years previously. The Caldey team sourced the buyer, negotiated all aspects of the deal with both the US investment firm and the Australian business. This was a complex deal due to different approaches to the operations and the management of the software, as well as multiple stakeholder relationships. Adrian and Janine created a path through these differences across three time zones, during the Pandemic, to deliver a deal that both allowed Page Up to achieve its UK expansion plans whilst enabling the eArcu team to achieve an excellent return on the investment they had put into the business in so many different ways over the previous 10 years.

“I had previously sold one business and knew that to achieve the best result for me and my fellow shareholders I needed an advisor totally dedicated and focussed on delivering that outcome. Caldey made a huge difference and delivered way beyond my high expectations. Adrian and Janine’s commitment and determination to find solutions that worked both for us and the Page Up team during the transaction process was amazing; I am certain that we wouldn’t have been able to achieve this great result without the drive and innovative thoughts of Adrian and Janine.”
